MATT POTORTI
DVM
Co-Medical Director
Dr. Matt Potorti grew up immersed in the world of veterinary care in Central Pennsylvania, where his family’s work inspired his passion for preserving the human-animal bond. After earning his bachelor’s degree at West Virginia University, he pursued his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. Following graduation, Dr. Matt made the move to California to join his significant other—or perhaps because his Chihuahua, Ziggy, insisted on the warmer weather. Since then, he has been proudly serving the small animal community of Simi Valley.
Dr. Matt deeply values the role pets play as cherished members of the family. He finds joy in building meaningful connections with his patients and their pet parents, and he is honored to continue providing compassionate care for the Simi Valley community. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Matt is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys running and hiking. He has conquered a 50k ultramarathon and now finds thrill in scaling California’s towering peaks—his favorite part being the exhilarating runs back down. As a foodie, Dr. Matt enjoys trying new restaurants and experimenting in the kitchen. His baking skills are a hit with his team, especially his famously delicious chocolate chip cookies.
